What We Believe

“We are debtors to every man to give him the gospel in the same measure in which we have received it.”
— Phineas F. Bresee

Core Beliefs

These are the core beliefs of The Kingman Church of the Nazarene. Our teaching and ministry grow out of Scripture and the faith we share with the Church of the Nazarene.

God

There is one eternal God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created all things and is perfect in love, holiness, power, and mercy.

The Bible

God has made Himself known through Jesus Christ, through the Holy Scriptures, and in creation. The Bible is our authority for faith and Christian living.

People

God created us, male and female, in His image. When Adam and Eve disobeyed, sin entered the world, fellowship with God was broken, and all creation was wounded. We are still made for His glory, and we still need His grace.

Salvation

Jesus lived without sin, died for our sins, and rose again. By grace, all who repent and trust Him as Lord and Savior are forgiven, made new, and saved from the power of sin. Salvation is found in Christ alone.

Holy Living

After we are born again, God calls us to be sanctified wholly—cleansed and filled by the Holy Spirit—so we can love God and people with a whole heart.

The Church

The Church is the body of Christ in the world, gathered to worship God and sent to share the gospel.

Christ’s Return

Jesus will come again to judge the living and the dead and to bring God’s kingdom in its fullness.
