This week our granddaughter shared that she doesn’t watch scary movies or read scary books because they “Freak her out!” Especially when she is home alone.
Philippians 4:8 says:
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is novel, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.
We need to be careful what we allow in our lives. My parents said to me: “garbage in, garbage out.” And there is a lot of truth in that statement.
I’m challenging you today to guard what you put into your hearts and mind (choose a zero tolerance for blasphemy, i.e. misusing the Name of the Lord) in all that you watch and read or even listen too. You will be amazed at the difference this will make in your life. When you put the things of God into your heart and mind then God will draw you closer and closer to Him.
